My Only Prayer…

I intended to write on a completely different topic. But as my hands hit the keys, I heard a voice in my head whisper:  If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you…that will be enough.”

I felt that Meister Eckhart was sending me a message (and maybe you too) which I imagined went like this:  Appreciate the abundance you have….and those who’ve made it possible. That alone will change your life.”

So today, in the spirit of Thanksgiving and a 13th century mystic, I’m taking this opportunity to say Thank You…

to all of you who are reading this blog, even if it’s the only time you ever do, I truly appreciate you reading it today.

to everyone who’s ever written to tell me how my work has impacted your life, you have no idea how your words have impacted mine.  In fact, I’ve printed out and saved every one of your notes and emails.

to anyone who’s bought my books and perhaps passed it onto a friend, this means more to me than you can ever know.

to those of you who’ve joined my community and/or signed up for coaching, I’m endlessly grateful you trusted me to guide you, while teaching me to be a better guide.

to my amazing team—Lynda Jo & Carney & Ben—for taking care of all the details I abhor and for supporting me so lovingly.  I really would be lost without each one of you.

to my ex who gambled away my inheritance and to my father who wouldn’t lend me money, you taught me that, indeed, the obstacle is the path, leading me straight to my life’s purpose.

to my wonderful financial teamMichael, Anthony, Dave, Ruth & Peterbecause of you, my estate is in order and my portfolio is dramatically higher than it was 20+ years ago when I first found you.

to my 3 daughters, 2 sons-in law, 5 grandkids & stepson who are traveling on the busiest days of the year to spend with us. My cup runneth over.

to my beloved husband who rarely lets a day pass without expressing his love, appreciation, and support for me. Right back at you, babe!

Once again, from the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU ALL!

I’d love to know who’d you like to thank this holiday season. Tell me in the comments below.

I’d like to thank you for being so consistent with these powerful messages you send us almost every week!

I have finally saved enough money this year to buy some more stock and achieve all my 2023 financial goals for this year, and I’m sure your messages have subliminally kept me on track!

So satisfying to read you’re going to be with all your children and grandchildren this Thanksgiving. Have a good one!

Awwwww thanks, Lisa. I’m delighted that my words have somehow kept you on track! I deeply appreciate you letting me know. Wishing you the happiest of holidays!

I would like to thank Patrice Washington for living her life’s purpose. Her podcast Redefining Wealth was an answered prayer, and it fortified me as I went through a long painful divorce. Her podcast is what introduced me to you.

I want to thank my friends for loving me so beautifully because I lost myself over-and-over again, and my self worth plummeted. And when I felt like I was nothing and had nothing, they reminded me of who I am, who God is, and they reminded me of what I’ve done before and what I was capable of.

I want to thank my friend Walt specifically for the one-thousandth time because at the time of my separation I relocated, started a new job at entry level and management was awful, I was newly raising two children under the age of five by myself, and I wanted to quit that job—it felt unbearable and the issues insurmountable. I would cry to Walt almost daily, and his response was always “you can do it” and “you obviously don’t know who you are, you don’t see it”…”go back in there and reign”.

    I run that company now.

    “The obstacle is the path”.

In all things, I absolutely thank God. I truly give God all the praise for everything. And I am so very grateful that I’ve gotten the privilege to get to know God more intimately over the last few years, so very grateful.

Thank you for your powerful books and your beautiful blogging.

WOW, oh WOW!! That’s my first reaction to your beautiful words of gratitude…I was so touched reading this. And I deeply appreciate being a recipient of your thanks too. My heart is bursting! Wishing you wonderful holidays. Someday, I’d love to meet you personally.

I have SO much to be grateful for!

I am full of loving appreciation for my husband and all he has introduced me to and all we have created together. I am grateful for his love, optimism, humor, vision, wisdom, ingenuity, creativity, artistic eye, support and his genuine intentions and actions to help improve the lives of others.

I am infinitely grateful for each one of my children, in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I am filled with love and so proud of each one, and how they make the world a better place with their unique gifts and talents – and mostly, just by being here and shining their light!

I am filled with deep, heart-felt gratitude for my friends – for shared love, laughter, fun, trust, honesty, acceptance, support and a connection that stays true no matter the distance or the time.

I am grateful for my business and each and every person who has shown up on my journey and given me the opportunity to show up for them to share my gifts and purpose to help them make their life better.

I am filled with loving appreciation for the gifts, talents and experiences God has given me to grow closer to him and all of the way He works through me to serve my family, friends, and others in a way they are in most need of in the moment.

Thank you, Barbara, for your consistent messages filled with wisdom, inspiration, knowledge and love. Thank you for providing a forum for women to gather, to speak, to be heard, supported, safe, loved, connected and informed.
