Here’s Where You’ll Find Success…Guaranteed

If success seems to elude you, here’s a guaranteed approach for finding it. Do what you don’t want to do, are afraid to do, think you can’t do.

Whenever you decide to do something different—whether it’s making more money or changing careers—success always lies just outside your comfort zone.

The only way you’ll succeed is by stretching beyond what feels comfortable to what may seem impossible.

The ability to tolerate discomfort by doing what might not feel good, but doing it anyway—is the only way you’ll ever find financial success.

For us pleasure-seeking, pain-avoiding creatures, that’s a very tall order. It’s certainly not comfortable to face up to a challenge, acknowledge a problem, and it’s especially unnerving to eschew our habitual ways of handling them.

Yet, that’s exactly what’s required.  The real work in raising the bar is to stop doing the same old thing you’ve always done, to try out new strategies, to ignore false alarms, to resist the urge to quit, and refuse to fall back into familiar terrain.

Stretching carries with it this strict stipulation:

Feel the fear, endure the discomfort, observe the resistance, and go for it anyway.

In fact, the trick is to learn to regard fear and discomfort not as something to avoid, but as an indicator light pointing you in the right direction.

From this day forward, find ways to stretch, to be uncomfortable, on a regular basis.

It’s not about eliminating fear. It’s about acting in spite of it. You are training yourself to surpass your limitations.

Anxiety, fear, worry, nervousness, resistance are all normal reactions to new situations.

Fear does not mean something’s wrong.  Fear just means that you’re doing something different. And doing it differently is exactly what’s required to go to the next level.

So if it’s financial success you want, start looking for ways to be uncomfortable.

But there’s good news.  Eventually, what was once uncomfortable and scary will become your new normal.

It also helps to keep in mindthe discomfort is temporary, but the payoff is extraordinary.

What have you done to scare yourself lately? Leave me a comment below.

Meeting potential clients. It can be anxiety inducing, especially if you’re an introvert like me !

It can feel like a waste of time. It can feel embarrassing! Sometimes, you think it went SO well, there’s lots of laughing and joking during the meeting, however it doesn’t work out!

Some clients like to treat it like a police interrogation! They give you criticism, try to humiliate you, then decide they like you and want you to perform under really tough conditions or pressure ! ( ironically , that client was once run by the Nazi regime who funded work camps, so I’m glad it didn’t work out for me and obviously they haven’t changed their fascist style of working 😂 )

One night before meeting a client, I couldn’t sleep. I was questioning if I was really enough! I wanted to cancel! Was I wasting his time and my time? When we talked the next day, I knew he was the one! He was what my daily affirmation described – kind and smart. I had a virtual meeting with him. He was on the tallest floor in the newest, highest commercial building in my city and he was dressed really casually. He wasn’t wearing a shirt or suit. He was a little bit unprepared and shy, so I gently helped him out. He was from Hong Kong, but spoke English with a British accent. Best part is that he spoke about what he wanted to offer me, not what I could do for him! It’s out there, but you gotta meet the time wasters and Nazi’s first! 😩 Glad I didn’t get scared and cancelled on him!
